Not so much a trip report as a a list of the birds compiled on a day being led around the island by Tony Clarke (a very competent guide and good bloke, whom I would recommend to anyone).
Having already seen Berthalot's Pipit and Hoopoe around the town of Los Cristianos, where we were staying. My friend, and long time birding companion, Simon Nichols and myself (the only two birders in a group of eight 20 something’s), had booked a day out with the islands leading bird tour guide, Tony, our aim was to try and see at least the fabulous endemic available and as many other species as possible. What follows are short lists of the species seen at each sight.
